Hello, I'm Marshall.
I am a curious PhD researcher and the creator of "Marshall's Blog." My academic journey began with digital textile technology during my Master’s studies, which shaped my rigorous scientific mindset and problem-solving skills. However, while exploring disciplinary boundaries, I became deeply fascinated by the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI).
To me, AI is not just a branch of computer science—it is a powerful tool capable of empowering countless industries. It is this passion that drove me to systematically learn and practice AI technology from scratch. This blog serves as a faithful record of my cross-disciplinary exploration.
Why "Marshall's Blog"?
This blog was born from a simple belief: the best way to learn is to teach.
Coming from a non-traditional background, I understand the challenges and confusion one may face when learning AI. Therefore, I hope to share my insights, practical experiences, and even the pitfalls I’ve encountered, to help pave a smoother path for fellow enthusiasts. I strive to connect complex AI models with real-world applications through an interdisciplinary lens, making the technology more than just theoretical.

- 🤖 Computer Vision: From classical image recognition to cutting-edge generative models, I focus on how to help machines "see" the world and share practical applications in industrial quality inspection, intelligent surveillance, and more.
- 🔧 LLMs & Industrial Applications: I not only study the theory of large language models but also explore their practical implementation in knowledge management, intelligent customer service, code generation, and other industrial scenarios.
- 🚀 From Theory to Deployment: I share how to deploy algorithmic models—whether visual or language models—into production environments and discuss related MLOps practices.
- 🧠 Cross-Disciplinary Thinking: Drawing from my PhD research, I explore how AI can intersect with biomedical engineering and smart manufacturing to create new possibilities.
My Professional Journey
Although my background is not in computer science, my Master’s and PhD training have equipped me with the ability to learn quickly and delve deeply into complex topics. I have completed all requirements for my PhD defense and am currently awaiting the final procedures. In the meantime, I am fully devoted to learning and practicing AI technology.
This blog is an extension of my technical passion and professional capabilities. Through continuous project practice and knowledge sharing, I have systematically built my core competencies in computer vision and the industrial application of AI systems.
